EU Sends Support to Algae Project in Venice

The European Union (EU) sent its financial support to the algae project of a group of scientists in Venice, which aims to extract bio-fuel from algae.

In an interview with Gabriella Chiellino, president of the public and private partnership that runs the Venice operation, she said that they have received plenty of support both from the EU and the British government. As a matter of fact, the British government has already considered biomass heat and electricity as key cost-effective renewable technologies for the next decade.
